About Dr. Kathleen Murphy

Since 1982, Dr. Kathleen Murphy has operated her optometry practice in Dublin, Ohio.  She serves the community by providing free vision screenings to students at the middle schools and high schools, as well as teaching an “eye health” class at area elementary schools.  She also has established a fund to provide annual scholarships to students at all three Dublin High Schools. 

Dr. Murphy taught optometric technician classes at Columbus State for five years, and has earned a reputation as an excellent teacher, knowledgeable optometrist, and dedicated community servant.

Dr. Murphy built her business on the foundation of excellent eye health care, taking the time to understand her patients, and carrying one of the area’s best selections of exclusive designer eyewear.  In early 2006, she outgrew her space on Blazer Parkway in Dublin and moved her practice to a new facility on Emerald Parkway. The new facility enables Dr. Murphy to better serve her valued patients.

Dr. Murphy is a graduate of Miami University and has her doctorate from The Ohio State University.

About Dr. Susan Wright

Dr. Susan Wright has been working with Dr. Murphy since 1998.   Dr. Wright’s genuine style is evident to all of her patients.  She genuinely feels that every patient is part of the Emerald EyeCare family.

Dr. Wright especially enjoys working with children.  During their eye exam, she utilizes models of the eye to show what is happening and why they may need vision correction.  For the curious kids, she will allow them to look through a slit lamp/microscope at a sibling's or parent's eye to learn more about how the eye works.

The real reward for Dr. Wright is seeing those who need correction, see clearly for the first time with their new pair of glasses.  “It’s like opening a new world to them with clear vision,” she says.  Sometimes you don't know what you have been missing until you are shown how much better your vision can be!

Dr. Wright is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, and has her doctorate from The Ohio State University.
